Our specialty cooking classes are designed for those of you looking to enrich your cooking experience by learning how to cook authentic Northern Balinese dishes using traditional kitchen tools and utensils.

  • All the ingredients and use of cooking utensils during the class

Welcome drink 
Es Kelapa Muda - refreshing drink made from young coconuts

Appetizer

Rujak ala Pengalaman Rasa - sliced seasonal fresh fruits with
special sweet and sour sauce

Soup

Jukut Jepun - reintroduced heritage recipe of Frangipani soup

Main Course*

Ayam Betutu - steamed free-range chicken dish seasoned with base genep (Balinese herbs and spices)

Jukut Don Sela - boiled Cassava leaves seasoned with base genep

Plecing Kangkung - hot and spicy boiled water spinach

Taluh Base Sune Cekuh - hardboiled duck eggs seasoned with local heirloom garlic and aromatic ginger

Gerang Megoreng - crispy local anchovies fried with coconut oil

*served with steamed heirloom white rice, Sambal Matah, Melinjo chips, and fried peanuts

Dessert

Twisted Kedaluman ala Pengalaman Rasa - herbal jelly drink made from Kedaluman leaves, raw bee honey, and Rosella tea

Serobsob Ayam - Northern Balinese style free-range chicken curry

Jukut Urab - boiled mixed vegetables with spices and grated coconuts

Taluh Pindang - spice-infused hardboiled duck eggs

*served with Belayag rice cakes, Sambal Embe, Saur (spicy roasted coconuts), Kacang Kepit, and Melinjo chips

Dessert

Bulung Buleleng - seaweed jelly with artisan Arenga palm sugar
